Last week I won the first (and probably last) giveaway of my life. I actually won the giveaway on one of my favorite blogs ever. I love reading all her blog posts, and it blows my mind that I actually won. Check out her blog here. I was already pretty excited when I got the email saying that I won, but I was even more excited when I realized that my prize was the MAC eyeshadow in Woodwinked. If you haven't heard of this eyeshadow, it is a much loved MAC eyeshadow. It looks shimmery brown in the actual pot, but it goes on the skin as a beautiful gold. As all MAC eyeshadows are silky, soft, and super-blendable. Honestly, if you were ever going to buy just one MAC eyeshadow in your lifetime, I would recommend this one.

Overall I give this eyeshadow a 10/10. There is nothing not to love about this eyeshadow, and it's one of my favorite ones. I know this was one of my shorter posts, but I do have a lot of things planned for the upcoming weeks so definitely watch out for that. Thanks for reading, and watch out for my next post since it's coming really soon!
Hi! A couple days ago I took a trip to ULTA (as you may know if you read my last post) and I ended up getting something that I wasn't really planning on. The bareMinerals Smoky and Sultry eye and lip set. It's $20 for 2 full size products, 2 deluxe sample products and a full size brush. The set comes with two eyeshadows, a mascara, a lip gloss, and an eyeshadow blending brush. bareMinerals is a great brand so I wasn't surprised at the quality of these products. I absolutely love this set, all of the products are amazing, and I've already worn all of them several times. I get an unreal amount of compliments when I wear any of these products, and they are just absolutely beautiful. This is supposed to create an everyday smoky eye, but depending on how you apply the products, you can get two slightly different looks for different occasions. One is a really natural smoky eye, and the second gives you a little more definition and color.
The eyeshadow without mascara.
I put the dark eyeshadow and mascara on the bottom lashes of my left eye (on the right of the picture) to make the look a little more smoky, but left it natural on the right.
The final eyes and lips.
I'm pretty sure that this kit is exclusive to ULTA as I've not been able to find it anywhere else. Again it costs $20 and claims to be an $80 value. I would recommend it to anyone who has been looking for the perfect light smoky eye or for anyone just looking for some great eye and lip products. Also I have an ULTA coupon for you guys! It's valid until the 22nd of February and gets you 20% off of any one item. So you can get this set for only $16! Tell me about your favorite bareMinerals products in the comments. Thank you so much for reading, and I hope you enjoyed.
Hi! Today I was originally planning to do a tutorial using the Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray. When I got this I was so excited to get home and use it. I had completely convinced myself that it's the best sea salt spray out there and that I had found a $5 version to replace the Bumble & Bumble Sea Salt Spray. Boy, was I wrong. In short, this stuff SUCKS. It didn't do anything that it claimed to do, and the cute packaging did not reflect what was inside of the bottle. Let me just show you what this did to my hair.
This is my hair before the spray. It has a slight wave in it, but mostly it's smooth and not frizzy. Other than a couple awkward dents here and there, my hair is not really that much of a problem for me.
This is my hair after the spray. Talk about FRIZZ! Now that I think about it, this really is a texturizing spray, it gives your hair a crispy, frizzy texture. This stuff made my hair sticky, hard, and gross. It's almost like they used all the bad things that the beach does to your hair, and left out all the good. Now if that's your style then go ahead and get this spray, but for the rest of us, I recommend sticking with Bumble & Bumble from now on. If you're not familiar with it, Bumble & Bumble is a high-end hair care brand. They also have a sea salt spray. It is $26, but at least it actually works. I think it's better to spend more money on something that works for you than to waste a little bit of money on something you can never use.
Overall I would give this texturizing spray a 2/10. It just does not work, and the only reason it got a 2 instead of a 1 is because it smells good. Other than that, buying this product was almost like throwing $5 into the trash. Please do not be as weak as I was, and don't give into the cute packaging. Now it's your turn! Tell me if you have tried this, and what you thought of it! Or if you haven't tried it, tell me about your favorite Sea Salt Spray (I really want to find a good one!). Thanks for reading, and remember to follow me on all of my social networks :)
This is a great mascara. It costs as little as $7.97 at Walmart, which is still a little bit more expensive than most drugstore mascaras, but I would say that it is definitely worth it. The mascara claims that it will stretch lashes toward the outer corner to create a "winged" effect. It also says that it lengthens and volumizes lashes with its unique "Cocoon Fibers". The mascara definitely gives you length like no other, but I have to say that the eyelashes those girls have in the commercials definitely did not come from this mascara. Although the asymmetric brush does get rid of any clumps, it does little to "stretch your lashes toward the outer corner." If you're looking to get that exaggerated, winged look, I would suggest getting some fake lashes or waiting for the next "revolutionary brush" that will give them to you.
